FAQ

Common questions

Straight answers for UK customers comparing ZenHub installation, optimisation, account login, and support.

What is ZenHub?

ZenHub is a smart hardware box for UK homes with solar PV and a home battery. It connects to eligible home energy equipment and optimises usage and surplus trading opportunities through the Zenergy platform.

How much does installation cost?

The launch offer is £249 for the installed hardware box. The site should confirm final eligibility, appointment terms, and any subscription or revenue-share details before orders open.

How does ZenHub earn money for me?

ZenHub looks for better moments to use, store, export, or trade energy. Potential value can come from avoided import, better export timing, tariff arbitrage, and eligible flexibility markets. The exact result depends on your equipment, tariff, energy behaviour, location, and market conditions.

Do I need solar panels or a battery?

Yes. ZenHub requires both solar PV and a home battery. The qualifying flow should also check smart meter, export, tariff, internet, inverter, and optional EV charger or heat pump compatibility.

Is ZenHub available outside the UK?

No. ZenHub is positioned for UK homes only at launch.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Customers should use the support area to raise installation, device, account, and earnings questions. The account area is planned to show support cases alongside energy activity.

Am I tied to one supplier?

ZenHub should be positioned as supplier-aware rather than supplier-locked. Eligibility and value will depend on the tariff and market routes available to the customer, but the product should not be presented as working only with one energy supplier.

Is this just another manufacturer app?

No. Manufacturer apps are still useful for equipment-specific monitoring and warranty support. ZenHub should sit above that layer, joining device data, tariffs, optimisation decisions, earnings, statements, and support in one customer account.
